Committee Members Needed for following: Volunteer Coordinator - recruit event day volunteers, scheduling, checking them in on event day, and monitoring to ensure adequate coverage Site Coordinator - Review site set-up map for current year, confirm equipment and site signage, direct loading of event equipment and all necessary supplies ready, direct and support site event day volunteers for set up and tear down, coordinate the start/finish line Media Outreach Coordinator - collect and write stories about the event from participants, volunteers, sponsors to distribute to local media and on social media, submit MS Walk details to event listings in local media, use resources provided to engage local media Food Coordinator - solicit and pick up food donations for food tent and rest stops, review equipment requirements, set up food service area on event day and provide direction to food tent event volunteers, clean-up and take down of food tent at conclusion of event Entertainment & Event Experience Coordinator - secure entertainment for event day, including stage area, start/finish line and children's tent, oversee areas on event day and provide direction to event day volunteers and entertainers, work with committee to create an event day experience with a community atmosphere and connection to our cause Route Coordinator - reconfirm the route, signage and route marshal requirements with committee, provide route marshals and rest stop volunteers direction and support on event day, ensure the route signage and rest stops are set up on event day Recruitment and TeamMS Coordinator - work with committee members to identify prospective team and individual participants and contacting to invite them to participate, build relationships with team captains and support them as they recruit team members, create a memorable day of event experience for teams at the TeamMS tent, oversee the tent and event day volunteers assigned to work with you Check-in & Banking Coordinator - become familiar with registration procedure, set up and take down check-in, money counting and tune-up areas on event day and Saturday early pledge drop-off if applicable, supervise, support and train event day check-in tent volunteers
